Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum information needed to provide our service:

• Account data: username, email, and a hashed password.
• Billing data: processed exclusively by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number.
• Media files:
  • Originals are used only to generate your watermarked copies and are automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
  • Watermarked copies are automatically deleted after 7 days.
  • Detection uploads (files you submit to check for a watermark) are deleted 24 hours after the job completes.
• Metadata: watermark UUIDs, perceptual hashes, embeddings, job logs, and credit usage records.
• Access logs: IP address and user-agent, logged only for rate limiting and security monitoring.

We use your information only to:

• Provide and improve the watermarking service.
• Track credits, jobs, and subscription status.
• Prevent abuse (via rate limiting).
• Process payments (through Stripe).
• Communicate important account or billing updates.

We do not sell or share your personal data for any reason, including AI training or advertising.

We rely on trusted providers:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting and media storage.
• Stripe for all billing and payment processing.
• Cloudflare for securing Blurry against web-threats.

We do not send your files or personal data to any other third party.

Your media belongs to you. We keep it only long enough to deliver the service:

• Originals: deleted after 30 days of no job activity.
• Watermarked copies: deleted after 7 days.
• Detection uploads: deleted after 24 hours.
• Metadata (UUIDs, hashes, job logs): retained for account functionality until you delete the associated media.

If you delete your account, all associated media will be promptly deleted and your account will be anonymized (usually within 24 hours). Some metadata and billing records must be retained for legal, administrative, and auditing purposes.

We take industry-standard steps to secure your information, including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
• Passwords stored as secure hashes
• Access-controlled storage and databases
• Automated deletion schedules for transient media

• Access & correction: update your email or password in your profile.
• Deletion: deleting your account permanently removes your files, metadata, and records from our systems.

Blurry is not directed to children under 13. If we learn we've collected personal information from a child, we will delete it and the associated account immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the app before the changes take effect. By continuing to use Blurry, you agree to the updated policy.
